Glen Echo Family Day Care is a licensed in home Family Day Care in the state of Maryland. We are licensed to care for no more than eight children at any one time. We are inspected regularly to ensure that licensing standards are met.
We believe that children excel when they have providers they can trust and depend on. Communication is essential for your child and to keep you involved in their daily routine. We encourage learning through free play but also follow the creative curriculum, a state recommended curriculum. We offer the professionalism of a center with the personalization of a nanny. Your child will learn, grow, and play in a safe, comfortable space with well-qualified, experienced providers.
Anwar Abdul Rahman has worked in the child care industry for over 20 years. She has worked with children in the age range of newborns to 13 years old. Experienced with all ages and cultures, she has worked with a special needs child for over 9 years. Recently, Anwar, has dedicated herself to working for 6 years as pre-school teacher with children ages (2-6) years old. Her immense experience in child care has prompted her to dedicate her efforts to child care in her new business.
Anwar, holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and holds a childhood development certificate along with other childhood classes such as first aid and CPR training. She is proficient in both English and Arabic.
Her philosophy for teaching young children, revolves around providing not only physical and emotional development, but also building trust and confidence within the child. Anwar Rahman, has a true passion for teaching, nurturing and caring, which has proven successful not only within her family and her four grown successful children, but also through many amazing stories from children she has taught through out the years.
